Head of Iran’s Quran Exhibitions Permanent Secretariat Appointed

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mohammad Mehdi Aziz-Zadeh was named the head of the permanent secretariat of Iran’s Quran exhibitions.

He was appointed to the post in a meeting of the policy-making council of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition after receiving the approval of the members, which was endorsed by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili.

In a decree, Esmaeili called on Aziz-Zadeh to make active use of popular capacities to organize Quran expos, including the upcoming Tehran International Quran Exhibition, which is slated for the holy month of Ramadan.

He also urged the new head of the secretariat to make efforts for elevating the quality and enhancing the effectiveness of Quranic expos and paving the way for production and display of top Quranic products.

The permanent secretariat has been set up by the policy-making council and at the order of the Culture Minister. The head of the secretariat, who holds the job for three years, is in charge of organizing provincial and international Quran expos in Iran as well as Quranic exhibitions abroad in cooperation with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

It showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
